Our Mission

Mount Olive Lutheran School is a place where the whole child can grow – in mind, in body, and in soul. As our Mission Statement says, we’re “Preparing a New Generation in the Faith.” We offer full-day classes for students in 4-year-old kindergarten through eighth grade. All of our students benefit from an excellent, accredited academic curriculum, educators who share their Christian values, small class sizes, a strong parent organization, and lasting, Christian friendships.

Mount Olive’s faculty has always proudly promoted a superior level of academic excellence in our students. Take, for example, the recent achievement test scores for our eighth graders. The class placed in the 93rd percentile for math, and in the 92nd percentile for reading. Plus, Mount Olive’s students earned higher scores in science than 98% of other eighth grade students. In addition, our fourth graders performed at sixth and seventh grade levels in math and science. We are truly blessed.

Of course, those results come as no surprise when you consider the positive environment in which our students learn. Our school is fully accredited through National Lutheran School Accreditation. We maintain a state-of-the-art computer laboratory, integrated classroom computers, controlled access to the Internet, and a structured technology curriculum. All of our grades have small class sizes, which allows for a more personal learning experience, and we offer full-day 4K.

Life at Mount Olive isn't just about pencils and textbooks. Students also have ample opportunities to participate in a wide assortment of extracurricular activities and events, including sports teams and tournaments, vocal and bell choirs, Boy and Girl Scout groups, an annual school stage production, an orchestral band, and much more.

Here at Mount Olive, we believe that financial considerations shouldn't limit a family’s opportunity to provide its children with a good, values-based education. So we offer generous assistance to all families who qualify for school choice through our exclusive Olive Branch Program. Supported by individual donations from church members, alumni, and other friends, the Olive Branch Program helps Mount Olive to extend its mission of serving the children in our community. Interested families are welcome to apply.

Mount Olive offers an excellent before-and-after-school child care program for all students in 4-year-old kindergarten through eighth grade. This service is available weekdays when Mount Olive School is in session. Care is available before school from 6:00 to 8:15 a.m., and after school from 3:15 to 6:00 p.m.

Of course, we welcome you to join the larger Mount Olive community. Our members gather together for worship three times each week. On Sunday morning, our pastors conduct services at 8:30 and 11:00, with a Christian Enrichment Hour at 9:45 a.m. It includes Sunday School for the kids, Bible Class for the adults, and more. The pastors conduct a third service on Saturday evening at 6:00.
