SorensonPastor Sorenson was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1982. Five years later his family moved and he grew up in Indianapolis and Carmel, Indiana as the oldest of five children. He graduated from Carmel High School in 2001.

Pastor Sorenson went on to study at Concordia University River Forest where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and Biblical Languages. In the fall of 2005 Pastor Sorenson enrolled at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana in order to prepare for the Office of the Holy Ministry.

While attending the Seminary Pastor Sorenson was assigned to serve as a fieldworker at Bethany Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he learned a great deal from the Rev. C.D. Trouten. He served his vicarage year at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Elberta, Alabama. He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in 2009. Upon graduation he accepted God’s call to serve as Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Gordon, Nebraska. On Sunday, January 22, 2012, Pastor Sorenson was installed as Associate Pastor at Mount Olive.

Pastor StruvePastor Struve has been serving Mount Olive since 1985. He was born on September 30, 1946 at Oak Park, Illinois. He attended elementary school in Hodgkins, Illinois and Lyons Township High School in Western Springs and LaGrange, Illinois. After his graduations from Concordia College, Milwaukee (A.A.) and from Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne (B.A.), Pastor Struve attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 1974. Following his graduation, he served as Assistant Dean of Students in charge of Field Education at the seminary. Before coming to Mount Olive, Pastor Struve served as Pastor at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Summit, Illinois and later at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Since coming to Mount Olive, he has been elected second vice-president of the South Wisconsin District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, and in 1997 he was elected first vice-president.

Pastor WangerinPastor Wangerin has been serving as Pastor at Mount Olive since 1987. He was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1952 and attended public and then parochial school in Toledo and Milwaukee. He attended Concordia College High School in Milwaukee and graduated from there in 1970. He is also a graduate of Concordia College, Milwaukee (A.A. 1972), the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (B.A. 1974), and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (M.Div. 1978 and S.T.M. 1981). He served his vicarage at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomington, Illinois (1976-77). Before accepting the call to Mount Olive, Pastor Wangerin served as the Coordinator of Public Services for Concordia Seminary Library in St. Louis. Beside his parish responsibilities, he has served the South Wisconsin District on the Worship Committee and as convention communications chairman. He has served as Chaplaincy chairman for the Greater Milwaukee Federation of Lutheran Churches—Missouri Synod and is currently the president of the Metro Milwaukee Lutheran Mission Society (formerly the Greater Milwaukee Federation). His hobbies include model railroading and photography.
